Which of our three rapid tooling systems to use?

This will depend on the geometry of the part, and the numbers of mouldings you want. Sometimes we may use a combination of two or three methods where that’s what will work best.

You get a quick result and an evaluation of the design function without the expense or lead times associated with a more traditional toolmaking route. This makes low volume production parts in engineering type plastics a viable option as your project develops.

Test your prototype quickly without breaking the budget

If you want to test prototype parts in the materials in which they’ll finally be produced prototype tooling is a fast and cost effective method of getting the result you want.

When you outline your project we’ll usually select the most appropriate of three rapid tooling systems:

  • Aluminium-filled cast epoxy resin

  • DMLS - Direct metal laser sintering

  • CNC - high speed machining – primarily in aluminium
