Vacuum casting is a fast and inexpensive method of producing low volume prototype parts. At Gemini we produce precision parts in high performance Polyurethane resins which simulate thermoplastics and rubbers.
This process utilises silicone rubber as a tooling medium, and can yield 25–80 parts, depending on part geometry and grade of silicone used.
It is a process used to bridge the gap between 1-off prototypes and the typically larger numbers associated with prototype injection mouldings. |
